Steve Jobs et al make sure Britain doesn't miss out on a bargain
Apple has sent out a teaser on its website, promising discounts to UK customers this Friday, 28 November.
While it may seem that the company has just pulled out the date from nowhere, in the US it is dubbed Black Friday, as it is the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Traditionally Black Friday has been discount shopping day in America, with many retailers cutting prices for one day only.
Christmas shopping event
If you flick your browser to the UK Apple store, there's a teaser about the online promotion.
It states: "Come back to the Apple Online Store this Friday for a special one-day-only Christmas shopping event. You'll find dozens of great iPod, iPhone and Mac gift ideas.
"Mark your calendars now. Until then, start your research by browsing the Apple Online Store to find iPod, iPhone, and Mac gifts for everyone on your list."
It is unknown what the discounts will be like, but it shows that not even giants like Apple are immune to the economic slowdown, offering sales that usually happen after Christmas.
